What to expect from Lake District hotels with a hot tub

UK travel backpacking family

It’s important to recognize that Lake District hotels with a hot tub are a little bit more expensive than standard hotels (on average expect to pay around £100 – £200 more than you would pay for an equivalent room without a hot tub). However, hot tub hotels do generally offer much better facilities and premium locations. The addition of hot tubs in the hotel allows you to relax and enjoy this stunning part of the world. What better way to unwind from a cold, windy Lake District walk than to melt into your hot tub with a glass of bubbly?

Most Lake District hotels with a hot tub also include additional benefits such as breakfast or dinner, and in some cases, the hotel may have an on-site bar. You may be able to find special packages or discounts if you’re a guest at the hotel. However, we have also included one holiday home property which is particularly stunning and has a private hot tub.

Booking Lake District hotels with a hot tub can be challenging because it is hard to know what to expect, and sometimes it is not clear exactly what you are getting. In this article, we have tried to make it clear exactly what you get at each property. For example, in some cases, you may be booking a room with a spa bath, which is basically a large, luxurious bathtub in your private bathroom. In other cases, you can get outdoor hot tubs or jacuzzis, which allow you to relax and soak in the beautiful scenery. And in some cases, the hot tubs are secluded on small private terraces, and in other cases, you get amazing views.

TOP TIPS for booking Lake District hotels with a hot tub

Windermere Boutique 5

If you’re planning to book a Lake District hotel with a hot tub, it is very important that you plan your trip carefully and well in advance, particularly if you are planning to travel during a high season (which includes bank holiday weekends and school holidays, especially in July and August). We recommend that you book your hotel very early. In some cases, hotels offer free cancellation policies if you are unsure of your date. We recommend that you snatch up a room with a free cancellation policy and then cancel later if you are unable to fulfill your booking.

If you’re looking for an awesome deal on a Lake District hotel with a hot tub, then we recommend booking a room in the low season. Contact the hotel directly and see if they can give you any low season discounts or deals. Often when you contact a hotel directly, they can offer you a lower price than the online price.

If you are booking Lake District hotels with a hot tub, it is very important to decide whether you would like private hot tub access or whether you are happy with a shared hot tub. If you’re looking for a private hot tub, make sure that the hot tub is included in the room or suite that you book. For each of the hotels that we review in this article, we have indicated whether you get a private hot tub or whether it is a shared facility.
