Kuta is one of the main hubs in Bali. Most visitors to Bali stay in Kuta at the beginning and end of their trip. Kuta is right next to the Bali international airport – so whether you’re rolling off a long haul flight or just coming to an end to your time in Bali – chances are you will want a stay in Kuta. Also Kuta is a great base to start your explorations of Bali with plenty of transport options available to help you connect to other areas of Bali. And Kuta has it’s own attractions too! They are basic, but clean and comfortable. The tile floors, simple ensuite bathroom, and good air conditioning provide all the essentials you need for a comfortable stay. In addition, each room comes with a kettle and fridge. You also have access to shared kitchen facilities.
One of the great benefits of Guest House KupuKupu39 is its location. Just a few hundred meters from the beach, this guest house offers easy access to all the attractions Kuta has to offer. Additionally, the proximity to the airport and Lippo Mall makes it a convenient choice for travellers. Lippo Mall has a large supermarket and lots of other shops. There are also plenty of small convenience stores in the area selling drinks and snacks.
However, it’s worth noting that breakfast is not included in the room rate. There are many dining options nearby that make it easy to find delicious meals at an affordable price. 2 D’Pande Kuta

D’Pande Kuta is a budget-friendly accommodation option located in the heart of Kuta, Bali. In our view this property is one of the best budget options right in the heart of Kuta. Despite its central location, D’Pande Kuta is situated in a reasonably quiet area, allowing you to enjoy a peaceful stay while still having easy access to plenty of shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants. The property is also just a 5-minute walk from the famous Kuta Beach, making it an excellent base for beach lovers.
You can choose from simple en-suite double and twin rooms, which are clean and equipped with air conditioning, comfortable beds, and basic furniture. The small bathrooms come with a shower – in fact it is so small you can even take a shower as you sit on the toilet. Points for multi-tasking!
It’s worth noting that the Wi-Fi at D’Pande Kuta can be hit or miss, so we recommend having a SIM card with mobile data if you need to rely on the internet during your stay. You can also opt to pay a little extra to include a simple breakfast, which adds convenience to their stay.

3 Bakung Beach Resort

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bakung Beach Resort. We were a little disappointed when we returned to Kuta and it was full – so make sure you book in plenty of time. The Bakung beach resort offers a great combination of quality, value for money and proximity to the beach, airport and plenty of local food, markets and shops. So it really is a win of a hotel.
This lovely hotel is surrounded by lush tropical gardens and has a large, deep pool (4m) with a swim-up bar, as well as a shallow kids pool area (the pools are connected so careful supervision is essential if your kids are not swimmers). For an additional fee, you can also enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast. But even without breakfast, there are plenty of local and international dining options nearby, as well as convenience stores and markets.
Located just a few hundred meters from the beach and close to the popular Lippo Mall, Bakung Beach Resort is a great base for your Kuta Bali adventure. It’s particularly convenient for those starting or ending their trip, as it’s super close to the airport.
The rooms at Bakung Beach Resort are simple, clean, and come with ensuite bathrooms, air conditioning, and fridges. Each room also features a small balcony, for enjoying the beautiful surroundings (they don’t all have views though!) With a wide range of room options available, you can choose from budget twin or double rooms to more luxurious accommodations. While all rooms have a similar style and design, the more expensive rooms offer better locations (e.g. closer to the pool) and additional beds. The larger rooms are a great option for a family on a budget. The Bakung Beach Hotel is one of the best hotels in Kuta for families on a budget.
Just a heads up. The wifi sucks here. So if you need a reliable internet connection make sure you get a local sim card with data included.
One of the best things about Bakung Beach Resort is its friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are known for being helpful and accommodating, and are happy to assist with any requests, including late night check-ins (perfect if you’re rocking up at midnight from a flight).
