Nimman is situated a short walk to the northwest of the old city, Nimman is a bustling suburb with bars, restaurants, cafes, shops, markets and the Maya Shopping Mall. There are plenty of taxis and songthaews in the area so it is super easy to travel around. This area has a nice vibe. It is situated right by the ring road, allowing fast and easy transport around the city to other areas.
Nimman is also relatively affordable. If you want an authentic local experience there is plenty of street food around. Having visited Chiang Mai many times over the years, Nimman is genuinely one of our favorite areas to stay.

Firstly, if you’re visiting north Thailand – you need to be aware that it can get super hot – especially from January – April in the dry season. We highly recommend finding a place with a swimming pool to take a refreshing dip. BUT many hotels in Chiang Mai simply don’t offer this luxury.

This is a great choice if your travelling with kids, looking for lux and still want to keep a good budget. The large wardrobe space is perfect for keeping your bags and belongings out of the way. 3 Executive Twin and Executive King Rooms
For an even more spacious and lux option check out the Executive Suites. These rooms have all of the facilities and amenities of the delux rooms and they also include a desk and chair – this is great if you’re needing to get some work done on your trip. Surprisingly this decadent room is not much more expensive, costing only £40 – £85 on average ($50 – $100). So if you can afford it, this is a pretty good option for space, comfort and convenience.
4 Premier Twin and Premier King rooms
And last but definitely not least, if you’re looking for something very decadent, we love the Premier suites. Again, note that these are not that much more expensive than any of the cheaper rooms at Stay; the Premier Suites typically range between £45 – £90 or ($55 – $110) and this is only around £10 more than the cheapest option (on average). And for this, you do get a lot more. This classy suite offers a lot more space, impressive views and it even has it’s own classy bath tub. The room is very well designed to be super low stress – touches like the double sinks in the bathroom, the wardrobe, drinks station and mini-bar all make this room highly luxurious for the price. So if you’re booking a special trip and looking for affordable luxury – Stay with Nimman Premier suites really are a great choice.
