KLCC is the Kuala Lumpur Convention centre located right by the iconic twin towers (the Petronas towers). Many hotels in this area afford excellent tower views – but make sure you check this if a tower view is important to you. KLCC is an excellent location right in the heart of KLCC. Whether you are planning a shopping stay, a holiday or tourist trip or just passing through – KLCC is one of the best areas to stay (assuming you are not on a budget). There aren’t any low budget hotels in the area.
The KLCC twin towers are located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. The area is a popular tourist destination and offers many attractions. It is a great place to visit if you want to do shopping, have an epic meal or just enjoy the views. Here are a few things you can do near KLCC:
-Discovery center: This is a science museum that has interactive exhibits and experiments for children and adults alike. Located in the top floor of the Suria mall.
-The KLCC Park: The park has an artificial lake with fountains, waterfalls, bridges, and plenty of green space for picnics or relaxing.
-Playground: There is a large outdoor children’s playground in the KLCC park. There is also a FREE kids splash park here too- perfect for paddling and playing.
-Suria mall: This mall has over 200 stores including luxury brands and an epic food court.
-Aquarium: This aquarium is home to over 100 species of aquatic animals from all around the world including sharks and much much more
Important things to know about hotels near KLCC
All of the hotels that we recommend in this article are very close to KLCC. Many of these hotels are right next to the KLCC park. It is very important to recognise that not all of these hotels offer twin tower view rooms. Therefore, if you are determined to have a room with a view of the Iconic twin towers make sure that it is advertised in your booking. Even hotels which are right next to the Twin Towers only offer certain rooms with Tower views. Other rooms may have City views or Park views.
It is also important to recognise that if you are on a very low budget for accommodation this is not a good area for you. The KLCC area is a business, shopping and Commerce hub. The hotels are very expensive and many of them are luxurious brands. If you are looking for a budget stay we recommend looking for properties in Bukit Bintang or around Chinatown (Jalan Petaling).

We are particularly impressed with the two bedroom premier apartment with park view. This room has two double beds and can sleep up to 3 people (contact the hotel directly for larger groups). This stunning suite is equipped with a comfortable lounge area, amazing views and an ensuite bathroom with a bathtub (we love the stylish grey marble).
2 Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur

IBIS has a good range of facilities and amenities. For a start, there is free parking, free wifi, an outdoor swimming pool and a 24 hour reception desk. Rooms are all equipped with private ensuite bathrooms and also have air conditioning. So although it is cheap – the IBIS offers a pretty good level of comfort, convenience and privacy. This is not the bottom end of budget.

Rooms are clean, light and well furnished. There is not a very big range of rooms available here. Double and twin rooms are the main options at the IBIS KL. Rooms have large windows and great city views. Rooms can accommodate up to 3 guests making it a great option for a small family. We love the additional bed available in the twin room with a nice city view.
