This is a very simple, no-frills guest house. If you are just looking for a simple place to rest your head, this guest house is a great option for you. It is worth being aware that the facilities are very basic. Here, there are no restaurants, bars, or other facilities. However, this is a great option if you are looking for a good-value hotel in a great location.
2 Alderdale B&B

This is one of the BEST value for money Loch Lomond Hotels. This is a lovely, small, quaint bed and breakfast located in the beautiful village of Luss on the west coast of Loch Lomond. It offers excellent value for money as one of the best Loch Lomond hotels. At this bed and breakfast, a double room costs around £75 per night.
The double room is clean, stylish, well-decorated, and relatively spacious. We love the use of Scottish textiles and art, which celebrate and reflect the local culture. They also include a tasty and simple breakfast with your room, which normally includes bread, pastries, fruit, and cereal.
This cottage does not have amazing facilities; however, it offers style, character, and charm in a beautiful location. If you are looking for somewhere beautiful, simple, and affordable, this is one of the best Loch Lomond hotels around.
3 Oak Tree Inn
£75 – £175
Oak Tree Inn is a clean, stylish, and trendy Inn located in Balmaha on the east side of Loch Lomond. This lovely Inn offers a very good range of spacious rooms and suites. Some of the rooms are situated in the main building and other rooms are prefab buildings offering private, comfortable and well furnished accommodation next to the main Inn building. This hotel also has a trendy pub and bar, and the food is remarkable. The menu isn’t cheap but it is very impressive. You can try a variety of delicious gourmet dishes, including some epic local specialities.
We mentioned that there is a wide range of rooms to choose from. The cheapest room available here is the double and twin rooms which typically cost around £75 – £100 per night. These rooms are comfortable, clean, well furnished and also have an ensuite private bathroom with shower. It is worth noting that these rooms are part of the main Inn building.
Alternatively, if you’re looking for something unique you could try a pod or studio suite. We are particularly impressed with the Superior Studio. This is a spacious pod with a large comfortable double bed, sofa and flat screen TV. If you’re traveling with kids there is also a family suite which typically costs around £150 – £175 per night. The family suite can accommodate up to four people with a large double bed and two single beds.
4 Auchendennan Farm
£100 – £180
Before we discuss Auchendennan Farm, it’s worth noting that this is a self-catering apartment rather than a hotel. However, we wanted to include it on our list because we know that some people prefer the privacy and autonomy of a self-catering property. This unique option near Loch Lomond offers space, natural beauty, and privacy.
Auchendennan Farm is located on the west side of Loch Lomond and typically costs around £100 to £180 per night. It features one bedroom with an extra-large double bed and plenty of space. The bathroom is large and clean, including a shower. The comfortable bedroom showcases bright, vibrant Scottish artwork and has a large window. Additionally, there is a living room with comfortable sofas and a small kitchen equipped with an oven, hob, toaster, microwave, and some cooking utensils.
The disadvantage of staying in a self-catering property is the lack of facilities and community that you normally find in a hotel. However, some people prefer the privacy offered by these beautiful self-catering apartments. It’s only a short drive from Balloch village, which offers shops, restaurants, and pubs.
5 The Drymen Inn

The Drymen Inn is a beautiful inn located in the town of Drymen, a few kilometers to the east of Loch Lomond. This stunning hotel features modern Scottish interior design with comfortable, clean, and stylish rooms. If you’re traveling with kids, they also have a superior family room that can sleep up to 5 people. It offers two extra-large double beds and an additional sofa bed, typically costing around £280 per night. This spacious suite has adjoining rooms, an ensuite bathroom, and beautiful furniture.
The Drymen Inn also boasts an amazing on-site restaurant serving a range of delicious food, including traditional Scottish cuisine and tempting European dishes. In our opinion, this is an excellent option if you’re not concerned about staying right by the loch but are looking for a property that offers style, comfort, amazing food, and competitive prices.
6 Sheildaig Farm
£130 – £140
Sheildaig farm is one of the most unique Loch Lomond Hotels. If you’ve ever dreamed of staying in a beautiful Scottish farm, we highly recommend Sheildaig Farm. This hotel is located in a beautiful traditional farm building with modernized interiors and stylish design. It is run by an absolutely lovely host who is very keen to welcome you and make your stay amazing. It is also situated in a beautiful rural location right next to the town of Balloch in the south of Loch Lomond. This is the perfect location for both enjoying the serene countryside and making the most of the bars and pubs in the town.
This bed and breakfast offers a clean, comfortable, and stylish double room with a private ensuite bathroom. It also includes an amazing breakfast with your stay. The host serves breakfast in your room, giving you a wide range of choices. Additionally, a pot of hot, fresh coffee is included.
Overall, this bed and breakfast is excellent value for money. It may cost a little more than the cheaper options, but it delivers a lot more.
7 Village Inn
£150 – £200
This is a beautiful guest house located on the north side of Loch Long, a couple of kilometers from Loch Lomond. This guest house combines traditional Scottish style with modern characteristics. There is a lovely traditional cozy pub area which features a bar, comfortable seating, and an open fireplace. The hotel also offers an excellent range of rooms.
The cheapest room available at the Village Inn is the Double Room. It includes a large, comfortable double bed with bedside table lamps, an armchair, TV, and furniture including a wardrobe. There is also a private ensuite bathroom which includes a bathtub. If you’re traveling with kids, there is a Triple Room available ranging in price between £150 per night and £180 per night. The Triple Room features a double bed and a single bed and has a very similar style to the Double Room.
Additionally, there is a King Room with a river view, which costs around £175 to £200 per night. The King Room with River View boasts beautiful traditional Scottish decor and an ensuite bathroom with a bathtub. A very good breakfast is included as standard with the rooms, although we always recommend checking this when you book. Overall, we think this is a very good Loch Lomond hotel for the price.
8 The Inn on Loch Lomond

This is one of the best mid-range Loch Lomond hotels. The Inn on Loch Lomond is one of the larger Loch Lomond hotels, offering a wide range of rooms and excellent facilities. This beautiful hotel is situated on the west side of Loch Lomond. It features an on-site restaurant and bar, as well as a very good range of rooms.
The cheapest room option is the Standard Double Room, typically costing around £170 per night. The Standard Double Room has a simple and clean interior design with a comfortable double bed, basic furniture, and a private ensuite bathroom with a shower. We are particularly impressed with the Executive Double Room, which offers more space and includes large windows and a small balcony. The Executive Double Room also provides additional furniture compared to the standard room, such as a small desk and chair, an armchair, and a flat-screen TV.
One of our favourite features of this hotel is its disabled access. They offer a Disability Access Double or Twin Room, which is perfect for anyone using a wheelchair. Overall, this is an excellent hotel if you’re looking for a comfortable, stylish lochside hotel at a reasonable price.
9 Loch Lomond Sunset Glamping Pod
£315 – £400
Looking for a luxurious and stylish retreat in the wilderness near Loch Lomond? Loch Lomond Sunset Glamping Pod is one of the most impressive glamping options in the Loch Lomond area. It’s worth noting that this hotel is located in the Loch Lomond National Park but is not actually close to the loch itself.
Also, as a glamping pod, this is a self catering option and it is not particularly close to any shops, cafes or restaurants. So stock up well and make sure you are prepared for your trip. It helps to have your own transport and plenty of food and lovely snacks to help make your stay special.
This stunning glamping pod offers outstanding facilities, including a covered outdoor hot tub and a covered outdoor seating area adorned with fairy lights for a magical touch. It features a cozy double bedroom and includes a fire pit, private kitchenette, BBQ, pizza oven, and an all-important coffee machine too! We love the combination of luxury, style, and wilderness at this superb glamping pod.

Endrick Escape is one of the most luxurious and unique options near Loch Lomond. It is located a few kilometers to the west of the Loch Lomond National Park, not close to the loch itself, but situated in a beautiful rural area.
The high-tech glamping pods at Endrick Escape offer extreme comfort, and each one includes a private hot tub with amazing views of the surrounding hills and scenery. There is plenty of wildlife in the area, including deer and birds of prey. The pods themselves are exceptionally well-designed, featuring a comfortable double bed, a sophisticated climate control system, a flat-screen TV, and a beautiful round window offering excellent mountain views.
The hosts at Endrick Escape are extremely welcoming and friendly, and they also include a food hamper with your stay. As it is a glamping experience, we do recommend packing plenty of your own food as well. Additionally, having your own car will enhance your experience at this location.
In our opinion, Endrick Escape is an amazing option if you’re looking for something unique, luxurious, and are comfortable with the price.

It is a large and impressive hotel situated in a grand traditional building with spacious rooms, suites, and amazing facilities. This hotel has grand dining rooms, an indoor swimming pool, a kids’ pool with an indoor water slide, a fully equipped fitness center, and beautiful grounds offering fantastic views of Loch Lomond. There is also an indoor kids’ playroom available.
There are several different room options available at this hotel, catering to various budgets and preferences. The cheapest room is the Double Room, which costs around £340 per night. It includes a comfortable double bed, furniture such as bedside tables, an armchair, desk and chair, and a private ensuite bathroom with a shower. One of the most luxurious and expensive rooms at the hotel is the Junior Suite with Balcony, which costs around £640 per night. This room is beautifully furnished with decadent furniture and rich, regal designs, offering a stunning view over Loch Lomond.

If you’ve ever dreamed of staying in a lochside castle, Lomond Castle Penthouse may be your dream hotel. However, it’s worth noting that this is not a classic hotel; rather, it offers self-catering apartments. So, if you prefer the space and autonomy of having your own apartment, then read on.
The Lomond Castle Penthouse is extremely spacious and luxurious, situated in a stately home on the west coast of Loch Lomond, a short drive from the beautiful village of Balloch. This penthouse apartment offers three bedrooms, each with a double bed. This luxurious penthouse accommodates up to 6 people. The price typically ranges between £460 per night and £485 per night. The apartment boasts a stylish, clean interior design theme with regal furniture and artwork. It also includes thoughtful touches, such as a coffee machine with complimentary coffee. There is a well-equipped kitchen with an oven and hob.
Lomond Castle is a grand and impressive property with spacious grounds and well-kept gardens. The apartment overlooks Loch Lomond, offering wonderful views. In our opinion, this is one of the best Loch Lomond hotels for a large group traveling with a substantial budget.
