Rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped. Another big advantage of the Coral Cliff Beach Resort is the range of rooms that are available to guests. You really can pick a room that meets your needs.
Watch out for some good discounts on Agoda. We love the Sea View villa here – surprisingly affordable for accommodation like this. Coral Cliff Beach Resort is located on the beautiful east coast of Koh Samui – right by the beach. Although it is called a cliff – it is not particularly high and beach access is easy. This is a great spot to enjoy the ocean sunrises. It is a short drive from the Lad Koh viewpoint and is only a few kilometers south of Koh Samui town and airport. Oh yeah. And they include breakfast. What’s not to love?
2 First Residence Hotel
The First Residence Hotel isn’t the most stylish property that we have recommended here. While the location is very good – it isn’t your dreamy beach paradise hotel. You may be wondering why we have recommended the First Residence Hotel? We have recommended First Residence Hotel because they often have excellent deals on Agoda of up to 75% off
We wouldn’t recommend this property at the normal undiscounted rates which are quite high. Sorry, we told you that we would always be honest! But if you’re looking to snatch up a great deal in Koh Samui – this may well be your best option. The First Residence hotel is located at the south tip of Koh Samui town. It is a great spot to enjoy the comforts of the town (shopping mall, nice restaurants and bars) and also zip down the road to the hills or beaches.
3 Chaweng Villawee Hotel
Moving into the world of mid-range hotels check out Chaweng Villawee Hotel. This is a clean and stylish hotel which boasts pool access rooms. Literally roll out of bed into a swimming pool! Watch out for deals on Agoda of up to 75% off this hotel
Chaweng Villawee Hotel offer a wide range of rooms to guests. This is also a great option for families. Kids under 12 stay for FREE and they have a two bedroom family suite available for customers. On the downside, they do not include breakfast or free cancellation here. Chaweng Villawee Hotel is located in Koh Samui town. It isn’t the best choice if you’re dreaming of a paradise beach resort. BUT this hotel is super close to Central Mall with its restaurants, clothes shops and coffee shops. It is also a short walk from Chaweng Beach.
4 Karma Resort
Step into another world at the Karma Resort. The Karma Resort is a super stylish beach resort with an earthy wood, thatch and terracotta style. We love the natural hippy vibes of this resort. The Karma resort has a very good range of rooms available for customers.
They even have a private pool room. AND if you book on Agoda you can also get free cancellation. If all this doesn’t convince you, you can also snatch up amazing deals on Agoda of up to 75% off.
The Karma Resort is located on the north coast of Koh Samui on Bo Phut Beach. It is very close and convenient for accessing Koh Samui town with its coffee shops and restaurants. This may not be the absolute cheapest hotel in Koh Samui, but in our humble opinion it is one of the best hotels in Koh Samui for excellent VALUE for money.
5 Casa De Mar Hotel
Casa De Mar offers a luxurious stay in a very convenient location. It is very close to the airport and located by the coast in the heart of Samui town. It is also close to Central Mall. Casa De Mar has a beautiful outdoor swimming pool and sun loungers.
They also don’t include breakfast or free cancellation. However, they do have some sweet deals on Agoda of up to 70% off normal room rates. Casa De Mar Hotel is a great one of the best hotels in Koh Samui for sheer convenience. Roll off the plane into your hotel.
6 Prana Resort Samui
Prana Resort Samui is a pristine, clean and stylish resort located right on the beach on the north coast of Koh Samui. It is very much in Koh Samui town and therefore a convenient location for all of the amenities of the town. The Prana Resort has an excellent range of facilities and amenities including a fitness suite, kids play room and ocean facing infinity pool.
Rooms normally cost £200 (roughly $270). We wouldn’t recommend this hotel at these rates – however they do have some epic deals on Agoda. Watch out for amazing deals of up to 75% off on Agoda. Important: The location of this property has been slightly inaccurately pinned on Google maps. The Prana Resort is actually located right on the beach (not on the inland side of the road which is what google maps indicates).
7 The Lamai Samui
The Lamai Samui is a decadent luxurious 5 star resort. The resort boasts rich, regal southeast asian dark wood style interiors. We are particularly impressed by the Pavilion Pool villa. This is one of the most unique and tasteful pool villas we have seen in Thailand.
The Lamai Samui comes with a high price tag. There are some good deals on agoda of around 30% off rooms. If you’re looking to experience a splash of south east asian luxury the Lamai is a great option for you.
Some of the highlights of the Lamai Samui resort is the beautiful beach location, the Lamai Samui pier and the infinity pool that overlooks the ocean.
The Lamai Samui resort has all of the facilities and amenities that you would expect in a decadent 5 star resort. The Lamai Samui is located just to the north of Lamai Beach on the east coast of Koh Samui.

8 Avani+ Samui Resort
If you’re looking for a secluded, peaceful paradise check out the Avanti+ Samui Resort. The Avanti+ Samui resort has all of the facilities that you would expect in a luxurious 5 star resort. They have a fitness center, ocean facing infinity pool, spa, bar and exquisite restaurants.

The Hansar Samui Resort is an impressive 5 star Resort located on the north coast of Koh Samui on Bo Phut beach. The Hansar Samui Resort boasts a large infinity pool and a wide range or rooms and suites.
Watch out for deals of up to 70% on Agoda. Again these amazing deals make this a very affordable resort and you will be surprised how far your money will go.
The Hansar Samui resort does not offer free cancellation at these discounted rates. A fantastic breakfast is included. Rooms are stylish, comfortable, spacious and well designed.
10 Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort
Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort is a decadent 5 star resort located by the beach in Samui town close to the airport. The Anantara Resort is excellently designed incorporating green spaces and terraces and swimming allowing guests to connect with the beautiful tropical surroundings. It also has a section of private beach.
As ever you can find some amazing deals on this property if you keep an eye out and book early. Watch out for discounts of up to 70% on Agoda.
The Anantara Lawana Resort has all of the facilities and amenities that you would hope for in a luxurious 5 star resort. This is a great option for families. They have a playroom for kids, kids club and kids meals available too. We love the innovative plunge pool suite with its own private swimming pool.
Just be aware that breakfasts may not be included in the price of your package at Anantara Lawana. Check before booking and consider paying more to get breakfast.
