The Blue Mansion was designed and constructed by the Chinese merchant and entrepreneur Cheong Fatt Tze in the 19th century. Cheong Fatt Tze was influenced by traditional Chinese architecture. You can also see international features in his work.

The Liang rooms
The Leong room is the cheapest type of room available at the blue mansion. The Liang room is situated upstairs and accommodates up to 2 people with either a double bed or two single beds (twin). The liang room is simple and beautiful.
The Ming rooms
The Ming Room is a little bit more expensive than the Liang than the Tang room. It is situated downstairs allowing easy access to the outdoor swimming pool. The Ming room is also available as a double or twin. We love the tessellated tile floors and dark wood furnishings in this room.
The Tang Double room
The Tang double room is similar to the Ming room in style except it also has a romantic spa bath nestled into a small alcove in the room. This is our favourite room at the Blue Mansion.
The Han triple room
The Han triple room is the most expensive type of room available at the Blue Mansion. This is the best option for families at the Blue Mansion. Located upstairs the Han triple room offers a large double bed, a single bed and a seating area. We also love the use of Blue in this room. The advantage of the Han triple room is the additional space and capacity. However it does not offer the easy pool access of the ground floor or the spa bath of the Tang Double room.

Although the Jawi Peranakan mansion is an old Anglo-Indian historic building it sadly fell into disrepair. However it has been recently renovated and restored to its former glory. There is a range of different types of rooms and suites available at the Jawi Peranakan mansion.
We particularly love the mansion suite which can sleep up to 5 people with two large king size beds. This large luxurious suite has two floors. Rooms are large with plenty of natural light. We love the use of rich dark wood, patterned tiles and eastern upholstery to create a unique traditional aesthetic.
The four poster beds are a great classy touch. The Jawi Peranakan mansion also has an outdoor swimming pool with patterned tiles to maintain the beautiful ornate aesthetic of this stylish property. The Peranakan people belong to a sub-culture in Malaysia derived from indigenous Bahasa Malay people marrying the first wave of Chinese settlers in the region.
This beautiful ancient culture dates back to around the 14th – 17th century. The peranakan culture is characterised by its beautiful vibrant artwork, colourful creative clothing and delicious unique food.

We are very impressed by the Stewart Apartment. This luxurious apartment is beautifully furnished with Rich wood, beautiful Asian upholstery and artwork subtle feng shui touches. We love the living area with comfortable sofas & armchairs. The Stewart apartment have large windows allowing plenty of natural light and fresh air. As a large apartment it also sleep up to 5 people with 1 extra large double bed and 2 single beds. The Stewart apartment would be a great option for a family.
