The Cameron Highlands Resort is one of the most iconic, classical and luxurious resorts in Cameron Highlands. This is the perfect choice if you are looking to splash out on a luxury holiday. The Cameron Highlands Resort is a lush, regal and decadent 5 STAR resort located 3km north of Tanah Rata. We love the spacious rooms with classical light and beautiful interior designs. The Cameron Highlands Resort is a beautiful Colonial building with a warm welcoming and cosy ambience.
The Cameron Highlands Resort deluxe double rooms, deluxe twin rooms and the spacious junior suite are available. We are particularly impressed by the spacious and beautiful junior suite which includes a desk, a living room with sofas and a table, a large comfortable four-poster bed and large windows affording plenty of natural light.
At the Cameron Highlands Resort you can enjoy the beautiful lush gardens with water features. There is an enticing spa village offering a range of relaxing and decadent treatments. There is also a well equipped fitness centre at the Cameron Highlands Resort. We also love the food which is available at the Cameron Highlands Resort. They serve an irresistible range of local and international cuisine prepared using fresh ingredients. Decadent dishes can be enjoyed in the main dining room with panoramic views of the surrounding Hills. They also have a dedicated tearoom which serves an ala carte lunch menu and traditional afternoon tea. The Gonbei restaurant also serves dinner options including exquisite dishes such as seafood dishes, hearty meat dishes and noodles.
Don’t miss the delicious high tea at the Cameron Highlands Resort. The high tea is served in a traditional cake stand with plenty of creme, jam and scones. The Cameron Highlands Resort is also a good option for families; they have a free cot available upon request for children up to 1 year old. The Strawberry Park Resort
The Strawberry Park Resort is one of the most popular resorts in Cameron Highlands. Despite the name, there is not a strawberry plantation here. There are plenty of Strawberry plantations nearby. The Strawberry Park Resort is a 4 star hotel located close to Tanah Rata in the Cameron Highlands.
An advantage of the Strawberry Park Resort is the wide range of rooms and suites available. Although the interiors are not as stylish as some of the other resorts in Cameron Highlands, they are still clean, comfortable, spacious and well furnished. They also have capacity to host larger groups and families at the Strawberry Park Resort.
For instance, the stylish Fresno Family suite sleeps up to 4 people with 2 large double beds. The impressive Shasta Family Suite sleeps up to 6 people with 2 large double beds and 2 single beds. We love the large windows allowing plenty of natural light, and the balconies afford breathtaking views over the stunning Cameron Highland scenery.
AND they even have an indoor swimming pool and squash court. THESE facilities are very rare for hotels and resorts in Cameron highlands.
The Strawberry Park Resort is cheaper than her big sister (The Cameron Highlands Resort). Rooms range in price from around £80 – £160 at the Strawberry Park Resort. If you are looking for resorts in Cameron Highlands for a family holiday this is THE BEST option.
Century Pines Resort Cameron Highlands
If you’re looking for resorts in Cameron Highlands with the GRAND classical hotel feel – there is really only one choice for you. The Century Pines Resort offers all of the advantages of a large luxurious hotel. Regal interiors, chandeliers, art work, marble floors, and intimate spaces for relaxing and socializing.
The Century Pines Resort enjoys all of the facilities and amenities of a well equipped resort. They have an onsite spa offering a tempting range of relaxing treatments, a well equipped fitness center, and an onsite restaurant serving Malaysian, Asian and international cuisine.
The Century Pines Resort has a very good range of rooms available. At the budget end the deluxe double and twin rooms are surprisingly spacious and even include a bathtub – amazing for this cool wet climate. Though always check on booking if this is important to you. The Duplex suite can accommodate up to 4 guests with an extra large double bed and a sofa bed. The Century Pines Resort can also add an extra bed to rooms for RM80 per night. They do not have any cots at this property. ALSO if you’re traveling with a baby under 1 year old, we recommend you contact the hotel to check if they can accommodate you. Their children’s policy technically states that they welcome children 1 year and older at this hotel.
The Century Pines Resort is also in an EXCELLENT location in Tanah Rata – a short walk from this lovely central town with restaurants, convenience stores, coffee shops and transport links. We are very impressed with the prices of this excellent resort – for a resort of this caliber it is excellent value for money. Rooms and suites typically range from around £70 – £170. Of all the resorts in Cameron Highlands – The Century Pines Resort is the BEST value for money.
The Smoke House Hotel
The Smoke House Hotel is one of our favorite properties in the Cameron Highlands. It is a very beautiful and traditional hotel with an onsite restaurant and beautiful grounds. We absolutely love the charm, character and charisma of the colonial Smoke House hotel. The luxurious cozy country house offers the perfect sanctuary to retreat from the high pace of life, slow down and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Cameron Highlands.
Whether you want to stroll in the lush gardens or sip a cozy drink by the open fire, the Smoke House hotel will entice you into rest and relaxation. We also love the fact that the Smoke House hotel has a family suite that can accommodate up to 4 people. The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished with rich authentic dark wood furniture and vintage fittings.
Internal rafters, pane windows and four poster beds accentuate the antiquity of this beautiful historic property. The Smoke House hotel may not have all the facilities and amenities of a large resort – but what it lacks in glam it makes up for in character and ambiance.
The Smoke House hotel also boasts an exquisite restaurant serving hearty traditional English cuisine prepared using fresh quality ingredients and time honored recipes. The Smoke House is a slightly cheaper alternative to the Lake House.
The Lakehouse Hotel
And last but definitely NOT least… don’t miss the AMAZING Lakehouse Hotel. This lovely resort is superlative in many respects. This is possibly one of the most beautiful buildings in the Cameron Highlands – and that is an impressive claim to fame in such a beautiful area.
The Lakehouse is nestled amongst lush gardens and flowers and surrounded by scenic hills. It is a short drive from Tanah Rata and the beautiful Cameron Valley tea plantations. The Lakehouse is a tudor-style colonial country house with a rich history and beautiful tudor-style architecture and interiors. The large spacious rooms are tastefully adorned with rich, decadent, historical furniture.
The Lakehouse also offers a family suite with adjoining rooms. And we love the classic 4 poster beds too. AND rooms even include an open fireplace – perfect to stay warm and cozy in the cool evenings. The Lakehouse genuinely achieves the warm ambiance of a traditional English country pub, with the decadent luxury of a 5 star hotel. This really is a special place.
The Lakehouse hotel has an onsite spa AND don’t miss the AMAZING fresh food served at the restaurant. The Lakehouse is more expensive than the Smoke House and offers a larger range of rooms and suites.
SUMMMARY – THE BEST Resorts in Cameron Highlands
This is of course a little subjective. If you want a decadent and beautful resort with great facilities an amenities check out the Cameron Highlands Resort. If you are looking for resorts in Cameron Highlands for a family holiday – the Strawberry Park Resort is probably your best bet. If you want the classic hotel feel and a great location the the Copthorne is the best choice. If it is history, style and character that attract you then The Lake House or the slightly cheaper Smoke House are great options for you. Ok, yeah, we named all of the resorts because they all ROCK! But the moral of the story – it all depends on who you are and what you’re looking for.
