2 Railay Beach Area
If you would like to stay in a beautiful remote beach area, we highly recommend the Railay Beach area (Tonsai, Railay, and Phra Nang Beach). There are several different resorts situated in this area. Although the Railay Beach area is more remote, it is still a very busy and popular destination. The beaches in the Railay Bay area do not have any overland access by road, so you will need to use a taxi boat to get to these beaches. As a consequence, these features are more remote with less choice for food and shops. Some of the hotels and resorts in this area also have very weak or limited Wi-Fi.
3 Some Quieter Beaches
If you’re looking for a more quiet and tranquil area in Krabi, consider some of the beautiful beaches situated in the north of the Krabi province. For example, Klong Muang Beach and Tubkaek Beach. One of the main disadvantages of staying in this area is the lack of shops, restaurants, cafes, and amenities. There is a small restaurant on the beachfront and a bar. There are also a couple of convenience stores on Tonsai Beach. The Tonsai Bay Resort offers a range of different rooms and villas. The Railay Bay Resort and Spa are situated right in the heart of the Railay Bay area. This is a great option for beach access. Depending exactly where you are staying in the resort, you should be able to walk barefoot to the beach within a minute or two.

There are no roads to this beach, so you have two options: you can either take a taxi boat (free if you stay at the resort) or walk along the jungle monkey trail to get to Pai Plong Beach.

In fact, all of the rooms at this resort have outdoor-tropical bathrooms. If you are really looking to splash out on something special, then you can also get a superlative private pool villa (called the Tubkaak Suite).
The main disadvantage of this particular resort is that it is a long way from Ao Nang. So if you’re looking for a quiet, tranquil, and peaceful retreat in Krabi, this may be a great option. However, if you are hoping to explore Ao Nang and want to be immersed in the hustle and bustle, you may want to consider other options closer to town.
