1 O Delices French Bakery

O Delices French bakery

If you are hoping for that European fix, then the French bakery is definitely one of the best places to eat in Moalboal. The French bakery is situated a couple of kilometers from the beach (you will either need to use a taxi or have your own transport to get there). The French bakery serves a very tempting collection of pastries, cakes, and Western treats such as baguettes and much more. They also have an excellent range of drinks, including fresh coffee (machine-made). The French bakery is open all week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The French bakery is air-conditioned and very comfortable. Prices are on the high side compared to other options in the area. Most drinks range in price between 100 – 250 pesos, and most food ranges in price between 100 – 400 pesos.

2 Ye Olde Countrystyle Bakeshop

Street Side Bakery Moalboal

The perfect place to grab some fresh, tasty, drive-by bread. Just opposite the French bakery, there is a small street side bakery serving a range of delicious fresh bagels, baguettes, and freshly baked cookies. They also make tasty bacon and egg sandwiches. This bakery is a lot cheaper than the French bakery; however, it is more of a street side stall than a restaurant or café. This is a great option if you’re looking to pick up some affordable, tasty fresh bread or bagels. Most items range in price between 30 – 150 pesos.

3 Shaka

If you’re looking for a healthy, tasty smoothie bowl fix, then we highly recommend Shaka, which is situated right in the heart of the Panagsama Beach area. This boutique café serves a very tempting selection of fresh smoothie bowls, smoothies, and coffees. It is actually a very popular establishment, and from time to time, it can be difficult to find a seat. They also have a swing chair for novelty points. Most options range in price between 200 – 400 pesos. It is not the cheapest place to eat, but it is very unique in the area, and the quality is very high.

4 Smooth Café Moalboal

Smooth Café is arguably one of the most popular and established coffee shops in the area. They have an extensive menu, including fresh, tasty meals (the food is relatively expensive). They also have a wide range of hot and cold drinks, including excellent coffees and some very tempting delicious cakes (we were particularly impressed with the cakes, so if you’re looking for a cheeky treat, this is one of your best options in the area). Most items on the menu range in price between 150 – 400 pesos. It is worth noting that this is not an air-conditioned coffee shop, although it is relatively cool because they have fans and good ventilation.

5 My Greek Taverna

My Greek taverna

My Greek Taverna is the only Greek restaurant in Moalboal. It is also one of our favorite places in the area. They serve a tempting menu of very authentic, fresh Greek food, including kebabs, hummus, and much more. They also have some very tasty smoothies and desserts on the menu. This restaurant is very comfortable and very centrally located. The staff are genuinely very kind, friendly, and welcoming at this restaurant. They also have free Wi-Fi available.

6 Little Corner Café

Little Corner Restaurant

This is one of the most affordable cafés in the Moalboal area. It is situated right on the beachfront, just next to the environmental fees kiosk. This is a fantastic spot if you’re planning to go snorkeling, swimming, or diving. It is open nice and early, and they have a good selection of breakfast items on the menu so you can grab some food before you jump in the water.

The pancakes are particularly tasty and great value for money. They also serve a range of local food and seafood, and some very affordable drinks. We used this café a lot when we were staying in Moalboal. It is a fantastic place whether you are grabbing a pre-swim breakfast or you just want a hot chocolate to warm up after some diving. They have a very extensive menu. Most items range in price between 100 – 350 pesos (seafood is the most expensive thing on their menu).

7 Tipolo Beach Resort

Restaurant at Tipolo Resort Moalboal

This is the best place if you’re looking for some fresh, tasty Italian food. You do not need to be a resort guest to dine at this restaurant. It is situated very close to the beach, and they serve a very tempting Italian menu, including pastas, seafood, all day breakfasts and delicious stone-baked pizza. This is a particularly good spot if you are hoping for a romantic evening meal. It has a lovely relaxed vibe. It is definitely on the expensive side for the area, with most dishes ranging in price between 250 – 400 pesos.

8 The Nomad

And finally, if you are looking for Mexican food in Moalboal, don’t miss The Nomad, which is situated around 1 km from the beach. This lovely little café has a tasty selection of Mexican food, including burritos, fajitas, and tacos. The fillings are fresh, tasty, healthy, and the portions are pretty generous. The Nomad is relatively expensive, but it is one of the only Mexican options in the area. Most dishes range in price between 200 – 400 pesos. Personally, we were not enamored by the ambiance of this place (but we only used it for takeaway anyway!).
