Canyoneering at Kawasan Falls was one of the highlights of our trip to Cebu. This beautiful deep gorge screams adventure. There is something invigorating and intrepid about gliding over the jungle canopy on a zipline, jumping off ledges (some as high as 10 metres), and drifting down the river (in a life jacket, of course).
All of this may sound scary to you. The great news is that you can do canyoneering at Kawasan Falls without doing any ziplines or jumps. But is it possible to go canyoneering at Kawasan Falls if you are staying in Cebu City, and if so, how do you arrange your trip in 2025?

Book it on Klook – CANYONEERING AT KAWASAN
How much does it cost to arrange a canyoneering trip from Cebu City? You can expect to pay around £50 per person (around $60) depending on how you book your trip. This should include two-way transportation, guide, lunch, entrance fees, and safety equipment. The trip takes around 12 hours, and you normally need to be prepared for an early pickup around 5 am. The trip should return to Cebu City by around 5 pm. Private tours from Cebu City start at £120 or $150.
We recommend booking your Kawasan canyoneering trip on Klook for competitive prices and a fantastic experience all around.
What things should a good tour include?
A good tour should include the following things – (BUT always check before you book!)
- Transport – A good trip should include two-way transport with hotel pickup and drop off in Cebu City.
- Equipment – They should definitely include safety equipment: helmet, life jacket, and water shoes.
- Guide – The price should include a guide. It is only possible to explore Kawasan Falls with an official tour guide.
- Entry fees – The price of your tour should include entry fees at Kawasan Falls. (You may, however, need to pay extra if you want to do the zipline, which costs 600 pesos.)
- Lunch – Your trip should also include lunch. However, it may not include breakfast or other meals. We do recommend that you bring some food along with you to keep you going.
Kawasan Falls Canyoneering – What to pack

We recommend that you pack a light day bag the day before your trip. Make sure that you bring sufficient cash so you can buy food along the way (there are actually places to buy food at Kawasan Falls – in most cases, your guide will purchase things on your behalf and then you will need to settle up with him later). If you have a good waterproof action camera, you may want to bring this along. (If possible, we recommend using a buoyant selfie stick in case you drop your camera.) We do not recommend bringing a phone on the canyoneering trip with you. Many people use cheap waterproof phone cases which can get damaged. We also recommend that you pack breakfast if you’re traveling from Cebu City. You will have an early pickup time. It is unlikely that you will have time to get breakfast before you go. We also recommend that you wear your swimming kit underneath your clothing, bring a plastic bag for wet clothes, a towel, hairbrush, soap, and some spare dry clothes.
