What is the best way to get to the ICF Wake Park?

Tuk tuk Siem Reap Cambodia

The best way to get to the ICF Wake Park is to use a tuk-tuk. Although you could take a one-way journey to the wake park and then look for a tuk-tuk to return to Siem Reap, many drivers will be very keen to agree on the deal for a round trip, and they will be willing to wait at the wake park or return to meet you later.

A one-way trip to the wake park from Siem Reap town center should cost around $2 – $3 by tuk-tuk. A two-way trip should cost around $5 – $6, depending on the waiting time. Many drivers will try to charge a lot more than this, so we recommend bartering and walking around until someone agrees to a price that you are happy with. If you are arranging a return journey, remember to agree on a waiting time. In our opinion, it is slightly better to arrange a return journey because it can be difficult to find tuk-tuks back to Siem Reap in this area.

TOP TIP: Take your driver’s phone number so that you can call them when you have finished. Many drivers in Cambodia use Whatsapp.

The ICF Wake Park is situated in a relatively quiet and peaceful rural area. When you are traveling to the this Wake Park, you may presume that a large attraction (such as a Wake Park!) would not be situated in an area like this. The roads leading to the wake park are unpaved and very bumpy in a tuk-tuk – don’t be alarmed that you’re getting lost. Also, many of the tuk-tuk drivers in Siem Reap know the location of the wake park.

Alternatively you can rent a motorbike in Siem Reap for $10 per day or $7 for longer rentals.
