Las Cabanas Beach is situated around 5.5 kilometers south of El Nido Beach in the northwest corner of Palawan.
How do you get to Las Cabanas Beach?

The simplest and most convenient way to get to Las Cabanas Beach is to take a tricycle (Tuk Tuk). You will find plenty of tricycles waiting around the El Nido Beach area. All you need to do is approach a driver and make a deal. Local drivers are very familiar with the area, and they will not have any trouble finding Las Cabanas Beach. El Nido is a touristy area, so the drivers do charge more on average, and you will need to barter to get a fair price. A tricycle ride from El Nido Beach to Las Cabanas should cost around 150-200 pesos. It is important to make it clear that the price applies to the whole group and for the full journey (some sneaky drivers may try and charge a price per person). Also, don’t worry about arranging a driver for your return journey. There are plenty of drivers waiting around the McDonald’s area late into the evening, so it should be easy to find a ride back to El Nido even if you are staying after sunset. The journey takes around 15 minutes each way.
Is it worth visiting Las Cabanas Beach?
Yes, in our opinion, it is definitely worth visiting the Las Cabanas Beach area. Las Cabanas Beach is a very beautiful beach with plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants, and resorts in the area. There are also some epic things to do in the area. Most significantly, you can ride an exhilarating zipline to an uninhabited island. Although El Nido Beach is on the west coast of Palawan, it has a north-facing aspect, so it is not possible to see an ocean sunset directly from El Nido Beach. In contrast, Las Cabanas Beach is west-facing, so you can see a beautiful ocean sunset here.
What can you do at Las Cabanas Beach?
We already mentioned that there are a lot of things to see and do at Las Cabanas Beach. We recommend arriving in the afternoon when it is a bit cooler and enjoying a beautiful ocean sunset. You can swim and paddle in the area, and you can even go sea kayaking. You can also ride an amazing zipline to an uninhabited island. This is a very unique and superlative experience. We loved riding this zipline – it is definitely amongst our Philippines highlights! The Palawan Zipline is great value for money. It only costs 600 pesos per person (around £8 or $10). You do not need to book in advance; you can just turn up and ride the zipline. It is generally not too busy, so you shouldn’t need to wait too long. You can find a desk situated on Las Cabanas Beach next to the Orange Pearl Beach Resort. You can purchase tickets at this desk, and they will show you the way to the top of the zipline.

What is the best place to eat at Las Cabanas Beach?
We highly recommend a meal at sunset at Las Cabanas Bar, which is situated right at the end of Las Cabanas Beach. This is a particularly beautiful spot to enjoy the scenery and watch the sunset. They serve a wide range of tempting drinks, including wine, beer, and cocktails, and they also have a delicious menu of Mexican food. If you’re looking for a cheaper fast food fix, there is also a McDonald’s situated close to the main road near Las Cabanas Beach.
Can you stay at Las Cabanas Beach?
Yes, it is also possible to stay at Las Cabanas Beach. There are a lot of beautiful resorts and hotels along the beachfront. Las Cabanas Beach is less of a hub than El Nido. It is harder to find affordable local food, and it is also more difficult to book tours and trips in the area compared to El Nido, which is the main hub in the area.
