Where is the best Kundasang homestay located?

The BEST Kundasang homestay is the OYO Pogimpaan Homestay. This beautiful Homestay is located in a small village between Kundasang and Ranau. This Homestay is located on a ridge and affords beautiful views of Mount Kinabalu and also the surrounding valleys.
The Pogimpaan homestay is around 2-3 hours from Kota Kinabalu by road. This is a relatively remote location, therefore we recommend having your own vehicle if you plan to stay at the Pogimpaan homestay.
Why do a Kundasan homestay?

If you have a little bit of free time in Sabah we recommend spending some time in a mountain home stay in the Kinabalu valley. This beautiful area has loads of great things to do and also affords breathtaking views of Mount Kinabalu. The climate in this region is also cooler due to the high altitude.

Kundasang is the most popular and iconic place to take a mountain home stay. We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Pogimpaan Homestay. This small property really is a hidden gem in the Sabah Mountains. Pogimpaan Homestay is beautiful, well kept and affords a breathtaking view of Mount Kinabalu and the surrounding hills. It is also a great location to explore Kundasang, Ranau, and Poring.
What rooms are available at the Pogimpaan Homestay?
The Pogimpaan Kundasang homestay has a very good range of rooms to accommodate groups of different sizes. Rooms are clean, comfortable, secure but also quite basic.
Front downstairs King room and twin room private bathroom

If you are traveling solo, as a couple or small family we recommend going for the double room with private bathroom (the King room) or twin room with private bathroom. The double and twin rooms with a private bathroom also have a stunning view of Mount Kinabalu and a shared terrace area where you can sit outside and enjoy the ambience and beautiful views of this area.
Family room shared bathroom (5 single beds and 2 rooms)

Another impressive option for a larger group or family is the Family room with shared bathroom. This suite is upstairs and has two cozy rooms with great Kinabalu views. Walk downstairs to the shared terrace with awesome views of Kinabalu. This room is a very nice set up for a larger family.
Triple room with private bathroom

There is also the triple room with a private bathroom. This room is located at the back of the property so doesn’t offer the impressive views of Kinabalu. However these rooms are next to the kitchen and offer nice accommodation if you want a bit more space.
TOP TIP: Although some rooms have a shared bathroom, it is unlikely to be used by other guests often – this is a small property and many of the rooms have private bathrooms. A shared bathroom is not in your room – but it will be nearby and almost always vacant.
