The Oia Pai resort is located to the east side of Pai river and south of the main town. It is around 10-15 minutes walk from the Pai night market and walking street. This resort is in a very beautiful location. It is also very close to the Karon long neck village and the Pai White Buddha.

What are the best things about the Oia Pai resort?
The main attraction of the Oia Pai is the man made lake that you can kayak around. Guests have unlimited free use of the kayaks to explore the resort. There is a generous continental and asian breakfast included in the price of your room. Guests are given a daily free fruit boat (in the style of a Thai floating market) and there is a free daily dessert trolley serving a selection of iced Thai desserts. Oia Pai is also an amazing spot to enjoy the beautiful Thai sunsets – with a western facing view over the lake and mountains.
The Oia Pai resort includes a free daily shuttle service to the night market which is great if you don’t have your own transport. We love the location of the Oia Pai. It is a short walk from Pai town. The rooms at the Oia Pai resort are spacious and offer the option to sleep individuals, couples and even families. Last but definitely not least, the staff. We found the staff super friendly and helpful. They all speak excellent English and are very keen to welcome and help guests.
TOP TIP: you do need to make sure you reserve a lake access room if you want to roll out of bed into your kayak.
What are the negatives of the Oia Pai?
Being a novelty themed resort comes with a price. This is one of the more expensive hotels in Pai (rooms range in price from £70 – £180 per night). The breakfast is a buffet style Asian and western set. Whilst the breakfast is generous and has a very good range of food, the quality of the food is not consistent with high end 5 star hotels (on booking.com The Oia Pai is advertised as a 5 star hotel).
Is it worth staying at the Oia Pai?
Overall the Oia Pai resort is a lot of fun. If you love a good novelty themed hotel – this one is a must. If you have one week in Pai, you might consider spending a night or two at Oia Pai – just for the experience and then check into another Pai hotel.
