Furthermore, Bali is very affordable – you’re money goes a long way when you glamp in Bali. And the hospitality and sevice in Bali is excellent.
Visiting the amazing Tegalalagan rice terraces, dolphin watching and the beautiful waterfalls are some of our favourite things to do in Bali. In addition to the natural beauty, Bali is home to many cultural attractions, such as the Saraswati Temple, the Monkey Forest, and the Goa Gajah Temple.

When planning a glamping trip to Bali, it’s essential to book in advance to ensure availability, especially during peak season. We recommend using booking.com or Agoda to get the best prices and for transparency in your booking. It’s also important to communicate with the resort beforehand to arrange for any special needs or requirements and arrange transportation.
Depending on the location of your glamping site, it may be necessary to have your own car or bike to get around the area. Additionally, some glamping sites may have limited facilities. For example, many of the cheaper glamping properties don’t have restaurants on site. If you don’t have your own transport you will need to bring food along. If you rely on using the internet, you may also need to have a local sim card with data.

When is the Best Time of Year to Go Glamping in Bali?
Bali’s tropical climate can be divided into two main seasons: the dry season, which runs from April to September, and the wet season, from October to March. Each season offers its own set of advantages and disadvantages for glamping, depending on individual preferences and priorities.
Dry season
The dry season is generally considered the best time for outdoor activities like glamping, as there is less rainfall and humidity, making it ideal for enjoying outdoor adventures like hiking, cycling, and beach activities. Many of the resorts for Glamping in Bali are located in remote areas. Using taxis to get to these distant locations can be quite expensive, but may be your only option. In Bali you can use Grab to order taxis, expect to pay around £10 – £20 ($12 – $24) to get to some of the glampsites in more remote locations.
If possible we recommend arranging your own transport if you’re glamping in Bali. Not only does this provide a cheap, convenient and flexible way to get to your glampsite – having your own vehicle means you can explore the area, find local shops and cafes and go at your own pace. 1 Bike rental in Bali
Bike rental in Bali is a cheap, fun and convenient way to get around. The main disadvantages are safety and the ability to take bigger bags with you. You can rent bikes in Bali for around 100,000IDR – 200,000IDR (£5 – £10 or $6 – $12) per day. Take care, some of the roads in more remote locations may be rough, sandy and muddy. 2 Car rental
Another great way to get around in Bali is car rental. You can rent a car in Bali for around 200,000IDR – 400,000IDR (£10 – £20 or $12 – $24). The best way is to find a local dealer and negotiate a fair price. Always check the rental contract carefully and take the contact details of your dealer. Ensure that you are fully qualified and insured to drive in Bali and use an international driver’s license if possible.
Best places for Glamping in Bali
1 The Panorama Batur Camp
Looking for affordable Glamping in Bali? The Panorama Batur Camp is the best budget glamping site in Bali. The tents are wooden teepee style, offering comfortable beds with bedding included. The site is located in Kintamani, on a high ridge with a panoramic view of Mount Batur and Danau Batur Lake.
Panorama Batur Camp is situated near several restaurants, shops, and coffee shops, including Mahen Cafe, which offers local and international food and great coffee. We loved the view at this spot! Also this property is a 15-minute drive from Batur hot springs – Check out Segara healing natural hot spring. BBQ sites are available for use as well.
This may have less of the “Glam” part of Glamping – but it is certainly a great way to experience stunning nature with a comfortable weather-proof bed. Prices range from £10 to £20 per night.
2 Triyana Resort and Glamping
Triyana Resort and Glamping is located north of Ubud, surrounded by rice terraces and jungles. This lovely resort is not far from the amazing Tegalalang Rice Terraces. The site offers excellent facilities, including free Wi-Fi. The cheapest option is the standard single tents on a grass terrace with shared bathroom facilities, costing between £10 and £20 per night. This is a traditional style tent.
Next up you can stay in the luxury glamping tent with a bathtub (yurt-style tent costing between £30 and £60 per night). The luxury option comes equipped with a comfortable double bed, private bathroom and bathtub, TV including Netflix, and a kettle with tea and coffee.
The most expensive option is the geodesic dome tent with a private pool costing between £50 and £100 per night. This is a spacioius, comfortable and luxurious option
3 Kubah Bali Glamping
Kubah Bali Glamping is located on a hill overlooking Danau Batur Lake, offering stunning views of Mount Batur and the lake. The site is in a remote location – we recommend that you have your own transport to get here.
This glamp site offers geodesic dome-style tents which cost between £35 and £40 per night, equipped with a double bed, bedding, BBQ area, and great views. The dome tents have a terrace and overlook the lake offering stunning views from your bed!
Alternatively, there’s one inflatable dome tent available costing between £50 and £55 per night. This tent features a large window that allows you to sleep under the stars with amazing lake and volcano views. It also has a double airlock system – which is actually a lot of fun!
The dome tent has a comfortable double bed, a private bathroom inside the tent, an outdoor shower area, an outdoor lawn area with great views, a covered terrace for breakfast, and a kettle with drinks. A simple breakfast is included with pancakes, but there’s no on-site restaurant so we recommend bringing a few snacks and planning your dinner options.
4 Glamping Tent in Pelaga Eco Park
Looking for wild and natural glamping in Bali? Then check out the Glamping Tents in Pelaga Eco Park. This is a beautiful and secluded location in the jungle, making it the perfect place for a tech detox (but they do offer Wi-Fi if you need to stay connected if you really need to!) The site is around 45 minutes north of Ubud, offering a chance to immerse yourself in nature and stunning views.
The tents come in classic-style canvas tents with the cheapest tent, smaller low roof style tents by the river, costing £38 per night. The more expensive tents costing between £50 and £60 per night offer more space and mountain views.
Tents include a fan, terrace, hammock, wooden floor, mosquito nets, en suite private bathroom, BBQ, and table and chairs. This is the best glamping site in Bali for a nature retreat. This is the perfect place for yoga, trekking, and relaxation.
5 Moondock Luxury Camp
Moondock Luxury Camp is located in the Munduk region of Bali, high in the hills of north Bali. The site offers a large geodesic dome tent equipped with air conditioning and an en suite bathroom with a bathtub and amazing views.
The tent has a large double bed and a terrace with stunning views of jungle hills. Don’t miss the amazing waterfalls and coffee plantations in this beautiful area. Also breakfast is included at this stunning resort. Breakfast includes fresh pancakes, honey and fresh fruit.
Moondock Luxury Camp is stylish, comfortable, and natural – and it is great value for money for what it offers. In our view this is one of the BEST romantic glamping site in Bali. So if you’re looking for an amazing spot for couples – this may be your best choice. Just be aware that Munduk is several hours from south Bali.
6 Bali Cliff Glamping
Bali Cliff Glamping is located on the remote east coast, overlooking the ocean from a cliff. The site offers an amazing views, shared infinity pool and an on-site restaurant and bar. The only tent option available is a deluxe double tent with a balcony and sea view – and these tents are really amazing!
The tent is spacious, featuring a comfortable double bed, beautifully furnished wood floors, and an en suite bathroom with showers and hot water. The breakfast included is impressive, with omelets, fresh fruit, toast, tea, and fresh fruit smoothies.
This is great value for money as one of the more luxurious gamping resorts in Bali. Prices range from £60 to £120 per night.
7 Nadi Nature Resort
Looking for a super luxurious experience glamping in Bali? Nadi Nature Resort offers large, spacious tents, all including air conditioning and Wi-Fi. The site is surrounded by lush rice paddies and located in the remote Angsri area in the center of Bali.
The cheapest option costs around £100 per night and features a large comfortable four-poster bed, a comfortable sofa, large windows, plenty of natural light, and an en suite bathroom with a rain shower. The private terrace area has a great view.
The more expensive tents at Nadi cost around £120 per night and they are even more spacious and also include an en suite with a Balinese bathtub.
8 Menjangan Dynasty Resort
Menjangan Dynasty Resort is a 5-star glamping resort located in the tranquil northwest corner of Bali, this is a long way from the main tourist area. The site is located right on the beach, and tours and activities are available. The facilities and amenities at Menjangan are excellent as well with an on site restaurant and the all important free Wi-Fi.
The site offers an excellent range of glamping tents, with prices ranging from £115 to £450. The tents are beautifully furnished, very comfortable, and have eclectic vintage interiors. This resort has a unique and peaceful vibe. It is pretty remote but is well worth it if you’re looking for tranquility, luxury and a close proximity to the ocean.
The most expensive tent is very impressive – check out the large two bedroom luxury cliff tent villa: The classy canvas-style tents include two bedrooms, living room with sofas, en suite bathroom with two bathtubs, outdoor terrace with amazing views, and private outdoor infinity pool. This tent normally costs £360 – £450 per night.
9 Bubble Hotel Nyang Nyang
Bubble Hotel Nyang Nyang offers a superlative, unique experience and is very luxurious. The site is located on the south coast near the Uluwatu temple and right on the beach, providing a remote spot to escape the crowds and enjoy an intimate and romantic experience.
The site features a beautiful onsite restaurant serving amazing food. The only tent option available costs between £180 and £230 and is a transparent inflatable bubble-style tent equipped with air conditioning and a comfortable double bed.
The Bubble Hotel Nyang Nyang is very impressive. Tents come with a private swimming pool, outdoor sofa area, private garden, swing, and beach access make this an amazing 5-star service experience. There is an on site restaurant serving gourmet food and amazing drinks. Overall this is one of the most unique and luxurious places for glamping in Bali – and it is also in a great location if you want to be close to the attractions in the south of Bali.
10 Sandat Glamping Tents
Sandat Glamping Tents are located a few kilometers northeast of Ubud, making it great for accessing the restaurants and cafes of Ubud, as well as attractions like Saraswati Temple, Monkey Forest, Goa Gajah Temple, and the Tegalalang rice terraces. The site is impressive, with a wide range of choices and excellent facilities, including Wi-Fi, on-site restaurant, and outdoor swimming pool.
The cheapest option, the one-bedroom Lumbung House with Garden view, is a large beautiful teepee-style tent, costing around £200 to £300 per night, and can sleep up to five people, with a large double bed, single bed, and a double sofa bed. The most expensive option is the suite private pool tent, costing between £500 and £600 per night.
It’s very luxurious and stylish, with a large round four-poster bed, sofas and chairs, a beautiful ensuite bathroom, and a private outdoor space with table and chairs, terrace, sun loungers, and a large private infinity pool with jungle views.
11 Capella Bali
If you’re looking for a very luxurious glamping experience immersed in lush beautiful rainforest don’t miss Capella Bali.
Capella is extremely well equipped with a spa, bar, fitness center and spaces for relaxing and absorbing the stunning surroundings. There are two on site restaurants serving fresh gourmet food. This resort boasts some of the best facilities and amenities for a glamping experience. We also love the charming eclectic vintage interior design theme.
Capella offers a range of luxury tent villas with private pools. These super comfortable tent villas are surrounded by the beautiful jungle of north Bali. There is a range of villas with different styles, sizes and amenities.
The cheapest option at the Capella is the terrace tent with prices ranging between £750 – £1,000 per night. The terrace tent is a spacious option with a private terrace, private swimming pool, living room with sofas and an ensuite bathroom with a bathtub. We are very impressed by the Keliki Valley tent. This luxurious tent overlooks the valley with stunning views.
There is a cozy outdoor terrace, large double bed and sofas. This option typically costs around £1,300 – £1,800 per night. The most expensive option at the Capella is the spacious lodge. This option can accommodate up to 5 people, with a large double bed and two single beds. The Lodge really is a stunning option with a private pool, balcony with amazing views, living room and plenty of luxurious comfortable sofas.
12 Buahan, a Banyan Tree Escape
Buahan, a Banyan Tree Escape is one of the most unique glamping experiences in Bali. With prices ranging from £1,000 – £1,300 per night, this place is all about the experience, not just the accommodation. Located in the remote Banjar Selat region of central Bali, this hotel is situated in an area of dense and beautiful rainforest, providing breathtaking views of the jungle and mountains.
Buahan offers great facilities, including a spa, bar, and on-site restaurant serving fresh and delicious local cuisine. With its stunning natural surroundings, exceptional amenities, and comfortable accommodations, Buahan, a Banyan Tree Escape, is the perfect destination if you’re looking for a truly unique and unforgettable experience in the heart of Bali’s jungle.
