The Penang Lost Paradise Resort has a beautiful eclectic fusion of Balinesian, Moroccan and middle eastern artwork, architecture, furnishings and design. The Penang Lost Paradise Resort is perfectly named. This unsuspecting hidden gem is nestled into a secluded spot on the north coast of Penang. The grounds are lovingly immersed in the beautiful natural foliage of this tropical island. A short walk around this beautiful resort also reveals the Christian influence of its designers. We absolutely love the use of small ponds, water features tropical plants giving the Lost Paradise Resort a beautiful natural ambience.

We recommend using Agoda for THE BEST prices. Booking.com is also good – but watch out for the additional hotel tax on the price – making it very slightly more expensive. You can often get great DEALS on both Agoda and Booking.com for the Penang Lost Paradise Resort.

After the Penang Lost Paradise Resort there are 3 outdoor swimming pools. The smallest swimming pool is a semicircle located right next to the Ombak suite. There is also a large swimming pool located in the center of the resort. And there is also a beautiful infinity pool with an ocean view.

The Penang Lost Paradise Resort also has free onsite car parking. Free wifi is available throughout the resort. There is also a water dispenser so that you can top up your water bottle. And the Penang Lost Paradise Resort has a vending machine with a range of drinks and snacks available.

The Penang Lost Paradise Resort also has outdoor play toys for young children (suitable from 0 – 5 years old). Around the Penang Lost Paradise Resort there are sociable seating areas where you can enjoy the stunning views and peaceful ambience of this Resort.

It is worth being aware that the Penang Lost Paradise Resort does not offer breakfast or have an onsite restaurant.

Where is the Penang Lost Paradise Resort located?

The Penang Lost Paradise Resort is located on the road between Tanjung Bungah and Batu Ferringhi. It is beautifully situated right by the ocean with stunning sea views and dramatic views of the jungle hills. This is a very tranquil location. This is a GREAT location.

It is on the 101 bus route that connects Georgetown, Batu Ferringhi and Teluk Bahang. One downside of the location is that there is no food available in the immediate vicinity of the resort (at least nothing within a short walk).

What rooms and Suites are available at the Penang Lost Paradise Resort?

All of the rooms and Suites at the Penang Lost Paradise Resort come with air conditioning, ceiling fans, ensuite bathrooms, a kettle, coffee and tea and a refrigerator. The beds are very comfortable.

The Royal Suite – Maharaja suite

FIND the Royal Suite at Lost Paradise on Agoda (not booking.com)

This is the premium and most expensive suite available at the Penang Lost Paradise Resort. The impressive Royal Suite sleeps up to 5 people, with 1 double bed and 3 single beds. The beautiful double bed is a wooden Maja Pahit bed from Indonesia and is located in a separate room to the 3 single beds.

The three single beds are located in a room with a breathtaking ocean view. This is a great option for a larger family. The Royal Suite has an ensuite bathroom with two showers and twin vanities. It also enjoys a decadent Balinese open air bathtub.

There is also a spacious balcony with a stunning sea view. The balcony is covered so you can enjoy the view whatever the weather – and there are also tables and chairs to sit out and enjoy the amazing views.

Large Windows afford plenty of natural light and breathtaking ocean views. The Royal Suite also has a refrigerator, kettle and tea and coffee. The Royal Suite is the perfect place to splash out for a honeymoon, anniversary or special occasion.

Relative to other hotels and resorts in Penang this suite is very good value for money.

Grand Family Suite – request the Ombak suite if possible

FIND the Grand Family Suite on Agoda (not booking.com)

The Grand Family Suites at the Lost Paradise Resort are spacious, comfortable and luxurious rooms. If you are booking a Grand Family Suite we recommend requesting the Ombak in particular. There is another Grand Family Suite called the Subuh suite – but we recommend the Ombak suite.

The Ombak suite is bursting with character and sleeps up to four people. It has a large comfortable double bed and two comfortable single beds. All beds are located in the same beautiful and spacious room. The pleasing Moroccan theme gives this suite a unique aesthetic. Large Windows around this suite afford plenty of natural light.

The ensuite bathroom has a decadent bathtub, rain shower and twin vanities. This suite also has a sofa and coffee table and the suite is located right next to the smallest swimming pool. This is super convenient in terms of stepping straight into the pool – but be aware that the pool is a shared space and other families may use this pool.

Premier suites – request the Mawar suite if possible

The Premier suites can be booked on Agoda AND booking.com

The Premier Suites are located right next to the main swimming pool. These classy suites enjoy a sea view, rich ornate furnishings and can sleep up to 3 guests in one double bed and one single bed. The Premier suites are much smaller than the Grand Family Suites.

Yet they are remarkably well furnished and have a privileged ocean view and balcony. We particularly recommend the Mawar Suite. This is located up stairs and has two balconies – one overlooking the swimming pool and the other overlooking the ocean.

The room has a quaint and ornate ambiance and there is plenty of natural light. It is the furniture and the decor that give this room its quality, charism and charm. The premier suites also have an ensuite bathroom with a bathtub.

The Mawar suite in particular is located upstairs and on the corner of the building affording a premium location for sea view, pool view and plenty of natural light too. Each balcony has its own table and chairs and unique character.

The premier suites at the Penang Lost Paradise Resort offer the views, style and luxury of the more expensive suites but they are just smaller. This would be the perfect option for a couple on a romantic stay.

Deluxe suites sea view – Amandari suites

You can book the Deluxe Suites on Agoda AND booking.com

The Amadari deluxe suites offer GREAT value for money in an excellent location at the Lost Paradise Resort. The Amadari block has two floors and enjoys a beautiful seaview. The deluxe suites are similar to the premier suites with respect to the room size and great seaview.

However, the deluxe Suites have less furniture and do not have a bathtub in the bathroom. The deluxe suites are a great option for families. They actually have two double beds and can therefore sleep up to 4 people.

The upstairs suites enjoy a better sea view and have a balcony. The downstairs suites have an outdoor seating area and the convenience of strolling straight out your room to the seafront.

Standard room

The Lost Paradise Standard room is on Agoda AND booking.com

Finally there is the standard room. These rooms are surprisingly good value for money relative to similar accomodation in Malaysia. Standard rooms have a comfortable double bed and can sleep 2 guests. They are also clean, simple and relatively spacious. The Standard Double rooms lack a good view and they also lack the charm and charisma of the more expensive suites.

If you are hoping to stay in the Penang Lost Paradise resort for its beauty and character but you’re not too bothered about your room – this is a great option. The standard rooms at lost paradise actually vary quite a bit so you may not get exactly what you see in the pictures.

What is the best suite at the Penang Lost Paradise Resort?

The best suite at the Penang Lost Paradise resort depends on what you are looking for. If you are hoping for luxury, space and regal style – we recommend the Royal Suite. Perfect for a celebration. If you are looking for great value for money as a family – and still want a sea view, then we recommend the deluxe suites. Need more space as a family? Then the Grand Family Suites are a great choice for you. If you’re traveling on a budget then we recommend the standard room. We recommend the Mawar Premier Suite for a couple.
